DESCRIPTION:Alright Cobber! \nAussie Pairs is a fun way to play where each player in a team get to play as lead and as skip – sometimes in the same end. \nIt’s an informal evening of bowls and BBQ. \nWant to play barefoot?     go ahead\, try it if it’s warm enough.\nWant to speak with an antipodean accent whilst playing?     Give it a go mate!\nWant to dress like Steve Irwin?      I’ll buy you a drink if you do \nThis mini tournament for fun includes a smashed burger\, fries and coleslaw cooked by Tom Cumberland of the Wayside Farmshop. \nNon-players are welcome to enjoy a burger too so book a place for your partner and family. \nYou don’t need to enter as a pair\, as all the entrants will be allocated a partner\, and the teams will pair experienced with in-experienced. \nPlay starts at 17.30 with the food served from 18.30 \nPlayers should arrive ready to start play by 17.30 \nThe bar will be open from 17.00 \nRules of Aussie Pairs Bowls\nAustralian Pairs\n2 – 4 – 2\n\nAustralian Pairs allows both people on a team to play Lead and Skip.\nIn the first end of the game the Leads start off with 2 Bowls each.\nThen the Skips play their 4 Bowls.\nThen the Leads complete the end with their final 2 Bowls.\nThus\, the Leads act as Lead and Skip in the same end.\nIn the Next End the roles are reversed.\nThe Skips playing First with their Two Bowls.\nThen the Leads play their 4 Bowls.\nThen the Skips complete the End with their final 2 Bowls.\nThis alternating pattern continues throughout the game.\n“Aside from the extra walking\, in the Australian Pairs\, the rules are the same as a normal Pairs Game.”\nNumber of ends to be determined on the day according to numbers participating\, weather forecast etc.\n\nThere are now 48 players booked\, so reservations are now closed for that. DESCRIPTION:The Club is hosting a social evening on Saturday 22nd July\, the organisers are Ben and Steve. Time is 7.30pm for 8 pm. \nThe caterers are Two Good Thai who live in Broadway and known to many of you as Ning and Scott. The cost of the sit-down meal will be £15 per head and it will be served by them. Many of you have had advanced notice of this event through our WhatsApp BBC General information and the response has been tremendous. \nThe club can hold 68 members sitting down and we have had 54 positive responses so far.
